【明報專訊】The International Labour Organisation (ILO, 國際勞工組織) is a specialised agency of the United Nations. It seeks to promote rights at work, encourage the creation of jobs and improve social protection. It also advocates dialogue in dealing with work-related issues. The ILO promulgates (發表) labour standards in its International labour Conventions (ILCs) and Recommendations. Currently, forty-one ILCs apply to the HKSAR. They cover areas like conditions of work, employment policy, employees' compensation, labour relations and occupational safety.
