Terry Jones, who heads a small church in Gainesville, Florida, said he would burn copies of the Koran on 11 September 2010 to mark the anniversary of the 2001 attacks. His plan has caught global attention and condemnation (譴責). Leaders of Islamic countries including Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (印尼總統蘇西洛) and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari (巴基斯坦總統扎爾達里) have said they are concerned. The Indonesian President has even sent a letter to US President Barack Obama (美國總統奧巴馬) to urge him to stop Jones. Barack Obama said on Good Morning America, an ABC TV show, "This could increase the recruitment of individuals who'd be willing to blow themselves up in American cities or European cities."
