【明報專訊】A movie company invited me to do vocal dubbing for Hayao Miyazaki's (宮崎駿) new animation movie From up on Poppy Hill (《紅花坂上的海》), which will be out on 19 January 2012.
I am vocal acting a teenage girl. Miyazaki is one of the greatest animators and directors. His movies are very touching. I am so excited to have the chance to work in his movie.
Actually, the workload of vocal dubbing is very heavy. It is a time-consuming job. Since this is my first trial in dubbing, I had no idea what to do at the beginning. Luckily I met May (May姐 ，謝月美) during the production. May is a very experienced vocal dubbing actor and teacher. She gave me many helpful tips and taught me various techniques needed for dubbing. I learned a lot from her.
Where I went dubbing is a famous studio in Hong Kong. Most of my favourite movies had their Cantonese dubbing done in it. Harry Potter, Toy Stories (《反斗奇兵》), Smurf (《藍精靈》)... all the films I like!
Even though it is a hard job, I think I will feel successful and be proud of myself when it is finished.
